Countless folks from around the globe are celebrating the happy news that a boys soccer team, 12 players and their coach, have been rescued in Thailand. Each child has a unique story and recent coverage of their recovery in a local hospital has buoyed spirits around the world.
Many today are remembering the bravery of Saman Gunan, a 38-year-old diver and retired Thai SEAL, who died during the daring rescue due to lack of oxygen.
Gov. Narongsak Osottanakorn of Ching Rai in Thailand praised him as the “Hero of the Tham Laung” cave.
Christ said it even better:
“No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (John 15:13)
Prayers to Mr. Gunan and his family.
RIP.
