The UN, Human Rights, and the Pariah Nation of Israel

Various members of the diplomatic corps in Washington are aghast upon hearing Ambassador Haley’s recent announcement that the United States is withdrawing from the United Nations Human Rights Council.  Criticisms have been pouring in, ranging from the ostensibly genuine to the pathetically contrived.

A fairly recent tally provided by the Jewish Virtual Library illustrates the extent to which the United Nations Human Rights Committee simply cannot abide the Jewish State.  In a prima facie case of how various arms of the UN have degenerated into outright distributors of anti-Semitic propaganda, the following tallies are available.

There do exist some countries that have merited criticism (Syria weighs in at second place, garnering 15 denunciations), but they pale in comparison…
